ALENTEJO
Located to the south of Portugal , the Alentejo is a historical area in wine elaboration, but only in recent years it has been rediscovered by its great potential to produce wines of remarked quality and typification, to the extent that some experts foresee it to be the next viticulture boom. Populated with Olive trees, Oaks (underneath which the Iberian pig feeds) , Cork oaks (the biggest cork producing area) and vineyards on extensive plains and undulations with a sun that illuminates and matures the wine grapes that will produce the great wines of the Alentejo.
We are located in Estremoz, a village full of history dominated by its castle in which a most beautiful legend took place, starred by the Portuguese queen Doña Isabel ( daughter of the Aragon king and queen) and called the Raíña Santa (Holy queen) who was later canonized and beatified.
